PROGRAM COORDINATOR

I am a Native Spanish Speaker and a bicultural first-generation Mexican descent professional. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Public Health at UC San Diego in 2016 and will be pursuing my master’s degree in Public Health at UC San Diego in the Fall 2021. During my undergraduate years I acquired strong research experience and mentorship that encouraged me to pursuit a path in public health research. I have several years of experience conducting community-based research with Latino patient populations both locally and abroad. I have contributed to participant recruitment, survey construction and administration, data collection and management, manuscript writing, and intervention delivery. I truly believe that the interdisciplinary approach to fostering sustainable Latino community health and patient-centered care relies on consistent efforts to promote health literacy and decrease health disparities.
