Ana Peng, B.S.
Graduate Mentee
(She/Her)
Research Assistant
I graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. I developed a passion for research through my work at the Spitzer lab, where I studied the effect of running-induced neurotransmitter switching in the adult dentate gyrus on episodic memory. The COVID-19 pandemic and its toll on mental health motivated me to pursue a career in public health, where I hope to combine my passion for research and healthcare to help improve the well-being of communities. I am currently a first-year MPH student at UCSD and enjoy traveling, hiking, reading books, and trying new foods in my free time.
