Anoushka Vinekar, BSPH
As a brain tumor survivor and chronic illness warrior, I was motivated to work in public health to make a larger impact on population health. I did my undergraduate public health education at UC San Diego and am working towards my Master’s in Public Health. I have research experience as a research intern for a dolphin social cognition research project to contribute toward our understanding of animal and human cognition. While research on etiologies of mental health disorders is increasing, the implementation and dissemination of mental health therapies and programs need work. I would like to gain additional public health research experience and discover how I can contribute to the betterment of public mental health and health education.
