My name is Yi, and I am a fourth-year Cognitive Science student with a minor in design. I have a strong passion for healthcare research and design. I first learned about healthcare research during my third year when I had the opportunity to join the Diabetes Design Initiative Lab at UCSD DesignLab. Through my experience at the lab, I gained a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry and realized the immense scope and impact of this field. The work we do within the healthcare community has the potential to positively impact and change someone’s life. Even the smallest efforts we make can make someone feel better or improve their lives. In the future, I hope to become a professional User Experience Researcher, tackling more complex problems and gaining a deeper understanding of the healthcare industry.
